Featured article Waluigi is Luigi's lanky rival and Wario's partner. Waluigi first appeared in the Nintendo 64 game Mario Tennis. Despite his close association to Wario, Waluigi is not a major character in the Wario franchise, in which his appearances are limited to only a few cameos. Most of Waluigi's appearances are in Mario spin-off games, many in which he is a playable character. Mario Tennis: Power Tour is the only game in which Waluigi appears without Wario.
